Re: Bad News today
You'll be in our prayers... please let us know what the doctor says when the results come in. I'm sure everything will be fine, but I can understand your worry.

Shannon, you are in my thoughts. You are going to be FINE. If it IS skin cancer, you'll probably just have to be checked by a dermatologist every year. This has happened to a few people in my family. Please keep us posted. -Stacy

Re: Bad News today
I am so sorry to read.
At least you are going to get it removed and you noticed it before it was too late. I have known many people have had actualy skin cancer and they never looked like they had any surgery. Best of luck to you.

Re: Bad News today
DaisyBride, hang in there! It is so scary to hear that word, espcially if it runs in your family.
Melanoma runs in my family too. No one in mine has died from it, but we all go to the derm once a year (my parents go twice).
I feel for you, because I had a huge black mass under what looked like a normal mole on my arm and it has left me with a nasty scar - no sleeveless anything for me! Thank god it was benign, but no more sun for me.
Your doc probably told you this but please be sure you wear sunscreen on your face every single day, winter and summer, all year, and buy a hat.
I hope you hear it is benign. Hang in there and try to do something you enjoy in the meantime.
