Hi Everyone! I am just starting to plan my Long Island wedding and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for bands for me to listen to for our reception. Thanks much for the help!

I am really thankful for all the help and opinions I have gotten and even just from reading all of the posts and reading other peoples experiences. You guys have helped me more than you know!! I will continue to ask in the months ahead until the day of my wedding. :):):)

I'm using The Mystic for my wedding. They do a wide range of music (40s to 90s) and they are alot of fun. They play at the Coyote Grill in Island Park and some other clubs on the weekends. Good luck with your search.

Hi. We opted for a DJ because of cost but the band we really liked was East Coast. My fiance is a musician and liked them alot. I think they have a website www.eastcoastmusic.com. Try them out. They were awesome. If the website doesnt work let me know because I can find their # at home. Good Luck!!!

Ultimately, getting recommendations from other brides is also a great way to learn about vendors.

DaysBreak Night, who is part of Franklyn Wayne Music, is absolutely wonderful. I have heard them play at 2 showcases and both times the performance was great. I think Franklyn Wayne has a website that lists their next showcase. Good Luck.

Actually, I hired East Coast and I think they are great. Of course my wedding isn't til June but I've heard nothing but great things!!!

Hi Lee: My fiance worked for Full House and is a friend of the owner, Joe. Actually he is on this site. Unbelievable band; I believe it's about an 8 piece band, but there demo is great. Call Joe and ask for a demo tape. Good Luck

Hi Kate! Is Full House the same Full House that used to perform at Mulcahy's in Wantagh all the time...loved them, especially their RUSH covers!
