Question....I have wanted to do a beach theme for some time. When we first started looking at halls on the water, they were out of our price range. We have decided on the hall (Jericho Terrace), which is not on (or near) the water. Do you think it's silly to do a beach theme if the wedding is not on the water??? I jsut have SOO many ideas, plus all the wonderful ones you have all shared. Thanks!

No, I don't think it is silly to do a beach theme if the reception isn't near the water. Go for it!

ooohhhh....I think a windchime is a great favor idea. This is a pretty cool theme! I like it!

Here are the favors I mentioned for my beach themed wedding. They are small (9 in. long x 4 in. wide) windchimes, that come in cute little square boxes, which I will wrap. I got them at Mace's a few months ago for $1.99 per favor.

Here is my cake once the wedding is over next week I will most pictures of the center pieces and table number that we made out of drift wood and put seashells on it!!

That is a beautiful cake!

We're having a beach themed engagement party this Saturday. Below are centerpieces I'm making for the tables, as well as the invitations I made. We're also going to have shells on the tables, we bought fisherman's netting to hang, some lighthouses, lots of sea themed candles... I will post pictures of the final result next week.

JLP - Thanks for the compliment. I had a lot of fun making those invites! Although the stress of making sure each one was right has reminded me that I'm no going to be doing too much myself for the wedding. I get way too hung up on the details!!!
