We went to a wedding two weeks ago and the bride was a double D and went strapless-BIG mistake. She was falling out of her dress the entire wedding. Finally, half way through the reception, she had her BP cut her corset and makes straps out of it. It did not look good.

I wore a strapless and did not have a problem at all! It all depends on the right undergarments as well as the alterations that are done! After all the purpose of fittings/alterations is to make sure the dress fits you perfectly and that you are 100% comfortable and satisfied!

a number of my bms were well endowed and they were fine in strapless gowns - the seamstress should know how to handle the situation and make the dress fit properly

a lot og girlsmentioned thelong linebra on this thread. does anyone have a pic of what it looks like. I will also be in a wedding in November, wearing a strapless dress. Can I use the same bra as a bridesmaid that I would as a bride? Will it show underneath the bm dress?

get a properly fitting bra and you'll be fine.

my sister wears like a 40 EE and she wore strapless - im a 34 DD going strapless too - just hold those girlies up!

My gown isn't strapless but I'm semi-big-boobed

If the gown is fitted correctly you shouldn't have a problem.

If you need it, perhaps a bra can provide extra bulk and help keep the dress up.

I was concerned with this and thought I would never wear anything strapless, but it really looked so good on me. It is all about the fit of the dress and the support.

I agree with you.

My dress is also a corset dress which helps a little with the fit and support.

i too have big old knockers--and have a strapless gown. (something i NEVER thought i'd do)

i'm going to georgette's in hicksville...i saw a bride on theknot who used a long line bra with a strapless gown a few weeks ago and they stayed in quite nicely in her pics!

I'm a 36DD also and am wearing a strapless. I ordered an extra size bc of my chest. The sample I tried on was to small for me so they looked like they were really out there but I was told with the bigger size it would be good, so now I have to wait about 5 months till the dress comes in to see!!

I originally thought there would be no way in hell I would be able to wear strapless and be comfortable...I am a 34DD, and I already have a hard time finding bras that fit. However, these dresses are customed made for you and I believe that if you have large breasts, you should maybe go for a corset top...they don't budge. Plus, the girls look damn good

I am a 34G and I didn't wear a long line bra - BIG MISTAKE! Please wear a good one the day of - and make sure to jump up and down and move around in your dress during your fittings. You want to be completely snug and held in!

my friend just got married this weekend- shes big 'up there' and had a strapless dress- she looked great and seemed to be comfortable the whole time. as far as i know, she had on a long-line bra and spanx with it...
i think its all about getting the right sized bra and having a good seamstress. i would go to a small store that specializes in lingerie and they should be able to help you

Is anyone wearing a strapless gown and is well endowed in the breast area. How are you handling this????
I'm a little concerned that they won't hold up.
Any suggestions????

I'm a DD and my dress was originally strapless (pics in album) I've just never been a fan of strapless, so I had them change the neckline and added halter straps (pics in album to)

I'm a well endowed 34DD that will be wearing a strapless. The strapless gowns that I'm considering actually make my boobs appear smaller than the other gowns I tried on.

Question - When can I try on a long-line bra in Queens or in the City??

i'm a DD and had a strapless. phyliss put 'bones' in my dress which attached to my dress and also put velcro on the dress to connect with the bra. it was great!
