I spoke to mom for 2 seconds this morning. She said she was ok and that she loves me. Shes in ICU so we really couldnt talk. Her surgery is in a few hours. Ill keep you posted.

Leslie, I think we all have faith in you to do the right thing, and we barely know you. I am sure your mom has no doubts about your abilities, and further, how the respect you show to both of your parents will have guide you in all of your choices.

My prayers are with your mom. she will be in a lot of pain and discomfort at first. she will probably get a brace of support- MAKE CERTAIN she wears is and goes to her therapy when the time comes. Like I said, I have a lot of experience with the spine and spinal disorders. I am at your disposal if need be.

Please take the time to savor what is happening to your. you are still getting married to a wonderful man, and you have the blessing of BOTH your parents. tomorrow you will be one more step closer to fulfilling your dream and being a beautiful bride to a wonderful man. Please take just a moment, stop thinking about all of the things that have happened recently, and focus for a minute on the feel of your dress...the way the light hits it...they way you will feel when the temple doors open and everyone sees you for the first time. Please OWN a few moments for yourself...and then do what you do so well, as you put so much energy into your loved ones.

you are a special lady Leslie. Good luck and God speed. may your mother's surgery go as smoothly as possible, and a speedy recovery for her.

My mother is scheduled to have a mass taken out of her stomach in Feb... the dr's say she has a 50/50 chance of survival . ( she has lupus and blood clotting disease- takes blood thinners so they are afraid she will bleed out).

I can understand how you feel right now... stressed and worried and sort of alone now that you need her for these important decisions.... know that she is with you in spirit as you decide...... and be kind to yourself during this time.... it is tough to deal with all that and be planning such an event as a wedding.. .my thoughts will be with you and your family.
