I read Eat Pray Love on my Honeymoon and it was PERFECT - LIFE CHANGING!!!
It was perfect to read on vacation because she urges you to truly enjoy every morsel of food, every sunset, every single thing that surrounds you.
Not so perfect because in order to do all of that she has to get a divorce first LOL but once you get past that - PERFECT!
Oooh - I wanted to read that!!! Glad to hear its a good read. Odd about the divorce though....is this about her journey?
you're back!! woo hoo. how was your HM?
i read Eat Pray Love on my HM too. It was pretty good; i liked the ending but in general i didn't love that it wasn't fiction
i try to only read fiction.it's about the places she goes after she decides to get divorced; italy, india, and .... bali I think.

Yes, and the best part is that she isn't saying 'Oh go to Italy and experience this' it is about how you can experience it every single day!

I brought a ton on the honeymoon. So glad we did. Lots of baking in the sun and reading!
Everyone Worth Knowing (same author as Devil Wears Prada)![]()
LoveHampton (about a summer sharehouse in the Hamptons - totally fun chick lit)![]()
The Glass Castle (serious read, but SO worth it - true account of a homeless family told through the daughters perspective)![]()
The Gathering (another serious read - but excellent - about an Irish family in Dublin and their coming to grips with the death of their son and the secrets that he kept with him)![]()
I also read some books on autism, but I wont bore people with them. I know you're a teacher, so if you're interested, FM me. Very interesting reads - they don't read like science texts...
Wow, thanks for the recommendations! The Gathering and The Glass Castle sound awesome!

i love all the phillippa gregory books (i.e., Other Boleyn Girl...movie s*cked a$$ but the book is awesome). on my HM i read eat, pray, love.... Virgin's Lover, water for elephants (great book), girl with a pearl earring (also great) and two others that i can't remember but were the only ones in the bookstore in rome that were not danielle steel.

Something Borrowed
Something Blue
Baby Proof
I am reading her new one Love the One you are with. These are all by Emily Giffin
Awesome books at wedding and marriage. They are fiction
Thanks! I read Something Borrowed about a month ago and loved it...then read Something Blue and wasn't impressed. I was really disappointed since the first one was so good!
