i mean I HATE the fact that our 'ace' and I use the term loosely, Al Leiter, is reduced to doing commentary but at least he don't spend the whole game saying that the Mets are great and we're gonna win next year and all that stuff

I'll tell you what the Sox problems are:

-They have an awful manager who gets too nervous and folds under pressure
-The players run the team. The organization has no control over this team.
-They need to get rid of Manny. Although he's a huge threat in the batters box he thinks he's bigger then the game. He has an awful attitude and that affects the entire team

That's why I respect ya Don. A man loyal to his TEAM. That isn't my style either. I'm cannot just root for NY teams- I'm a YANKEE fan.

If this were the Mets vs 'whomever,' I'd most likely be rooting for 'whomever.'

Is it just me or is this series just boring?? Usually me and Don would get into these games but its no fun when its one sided. Im still waiting for at least one bench clearer.

It has not been a typical Yankees-Sox series. But I haven't found it boring. There was some excitement in game 1 with Mussina pitching a perfect game up until the 7th inning. And then the Red Sox made an 8-0 game very close and very interesting. Game 2 was exciting with Pedro and it was a tight game. Last night was just a disgrace of a ballgame. The pitching for both teams was just awful. There were some bad plays by both teams. And once the Yankees blew it open the game was over. It was fun to watch as a Yankee fan because you always love it when they beat up on the Sox.

It's hard to live up to the expectations of the biggest rivaly in all of sports. And when one of the teams is playing as poorly as the Sox are it doesn't add to the hype.

I would expect something big today because I think you're going to see a very frustrated and depressed Red Sox team.

Maybe its just me but I dont like one sided victories. I like it when series are tied 3-3 and we go to game 7 and all the pressure is on both teams. Ill admit last night was exciting when they were going back and forth but that was short lived.

To me last night was the only one sided victory. The other 2 games were pretty exciting and pretty close.
