Re: Bourne Mansion Brides
Ok, here is my next question, do you rent them? Buy them? or do they (the round ones) come with the cake and then you have to return??I must sound so dumb about this, but I had no idea.
Ya think you figured everything out about all the planning, and then you find out something new...

Re: Bourne Mansion Brides
if they have the cake stand - if you want round- then you rent it from them - i would think audreys would get it back because they work with lessings a lot- not a hundred percent sure on thatif you want a square one- ou would have to buy it or figure out a place to rent it from and getting it back
ebay sells square cake stands
a cake stand is not necessary and just makes the cake stand out more

I just found this place online where you can buy them. They are not too expensive.

Re: Bourne Mansion Brides
I am actually a Timber Point bride but same bakeries obviously. When we booked, Audreys was the bakery. Then at the tasting, we were told Black Forest. We had an appt with Black Forest the next week. While we were there, they screwed up an order and the girl was giving the customer the biggest attitude- arguing with the poor woman over the cake! Can you believe it? Straight from there, we went to Timber Point to pick our menu w/ Ben and when we got to the cake, he asked us whether we were using Audreys or BForest and we expressed surprise that we could still use Audrey's. He put it in our contract right there that we could go to Audreys. Cancelled the cake from BForest. Would not have felt comfortable using them after what we witnessed. Besides, Audreys cakes look so much more polished.
