Not sure if this helps--but they redid the place a few years back-- okay maybe more than a few years (I grew up there) and heard good things about it after it was redone. For the price it is decent- I went to a wedding there about 8 years ago- no complaints but nothing spectacular either- Are you from there? what made you think of it? Laura

Hi Laura- thanks for replying! I'm about 10 minutes away from it, and my Mom's been hearing good things about it. I haven't seen it yet, though, and was wondering if it was worth the trip. Thanks for the info! ;-) Timerie

Hi. Try Timber Point Country Club in Great River. I am having my reception there. Beautiful outdoor service ability. It is a really pretty place. I am sorry I have not heard of Brentwood CC . Good Luck!!

Brentwood Country Club- Good or Bad?

Is Brentwood CC now called Crystal Brook?? I see advertisements for the Crystal Brook CC all the time in Newsday...the have an all inclusive deal (like $9k for everything). I think they also advertise a showcase. Sorry, I dont know anyone who has been to either. Good Luck!

Brentwood Country Club- Good or Bad?

I went to a wedding there 2 years ago and went to the Crystal Brook(Westbury?) for a wedding last year, I believe they are owned by the same company. The Brentwood was really pretty and the cocktail hour was really nice on the outdoor patio. The food was not really good, very bland if not tasteless and there was only one bar for a wedding of 220(the room was tight). There was no drink service at the table, basically you went without a drink through dinner.

On the other hand, Crystal Brook had amazing food, great service but the building/atmosphere is not as nice as Brentwood. The wedding I went to at Crystal Brook was quit a bit smaller too it was about 150. Hope I helped!

Timerie, I do not know if this helps you, I have not been to a wedding at the BCC but I hosted an affair at Crystalbrook, which is in East Meadow. The food was out of this world the service incredible and although it is not much too look at once you are inside, the service and food are so good that you forget about everything else. people are still talking about the affair that I had there almost a year ago. With that said, let me tell you about the vendors that they use. Both places use the Crystalbrook wedding center in East Meadow. They did such a great job with the affair that I did at Crystal brook that I hired every single one of them to do my wedding, Video, DJ, Photo, and Florist who is actually Ken and Eva's flower cottage in Brentwood!! I highly recommend them.. even if you do not use BCC. hoe that this helps

Brentwood Country Club- Good or Bad?

I was at a wedding there in Sept. The wedding was a great time but I must admit that the food left a lot to be desired. My fiancee had the end of the prime rib and when he asked for another piece, they ignored him and told him this was not possible. I wouldn't consider that great service.

Just my opinion. Other than that, the room was really nice as was the outdoor coctail hour.
