Re: Bridal Meltdown moments .....
So, I'm in Danbury, killing time while FH is at a business meeting. I came across the Christmas Tree Shops and wandered in. I stumbled upon picture frames that would be great for the table numbers and enormous glass vases (18' or so) that would be a fantastic starting point for CPs. The store didn't have any boxes for the vases and couldn't order any more vases, so FH and I packed 24 glass vases into my mid-size car in plastic bags. Then, I realize that we don't have room at home to store the vases, so we had to drive 90 miles from Danbury to my parents' house to leave the vases there. About halfway through the trip, I realized that -- duh -- eventually, I'll have to get the vases to the reception hall!
All 24 vases and 20 picture frames survived the drive. FH and my parents think I've completely lost it. But you, my fellow brides, would have done the same thing, right?!?

Re: Bridal Meltdown moments .....
I was calling vendors from work yesterday and getting return calls on my cell phone. I am sitting there, trying to erase the message from the cell phone once it is over and repeatedly pressing *3 on my work phone (which was hung up) I'm yelling about how much Cingular stinks and how it won't delete the message. It takes me a full minute to realize I was tying to delete the message on the wrong phone.

The morning we were going to sign the contract for the Carltun, I went to pour myself a cup of coffee, but poured wine in my mug instead ... and proceeded to drink it without realizing!!! After the first sip it took me a good 30 seconds to figure out why my 'coffee' tasted so wrong!!! The best part is that my whole family watched me do it and said nothing!!!

After one stressful day of work and thinking about how I am going to plan a wedding, I walked up to the door of my apartment and I started to press my key remote for my car, and I stood there wondering why the heck my door to the apartment wouldn't open!!
THis one is my favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Bridal Meltdown moments .....
ooh ooh ooh i have a good one... I thinkI lived in Albany for about 6 years and was very used to driving home to LI. We have very close friends who live in westchester county and typically would stop over when we were making the drive. Literally I could make that drive blindfolded with 1 hand tied behind my back.
The other night we were leaving their apartment headed back to our apt in LI and instead of staying on the hutch i ended up on the cross county parkway and didn't realize until i started seeing signs for the bronx zoo that i realized i had gone wrong

Re: Bridal Meltdown moments .....
Thanks LP!Well, I had my first one tonight and the lovely LP talked me off the ledge...I'll C&P exactly from thread...enjoy!
'I really am freaking out though and harrass Mike Closs monthly with all sorts of questions...nothing puts me at ease! Ugh!
I'm like Goldilocks - the Dome Room is too BIG, the Skylight Room is beautiful but it has an odd set-up and seems too big for my guests, plus I like al fresco paintings on the wall, the Penthouse Room is WAY too big...so that leaves me with the Oak Room...OK - sorry for the little moment...hey, does this count as my first bridal meltdown?'
I cannot decide whether I like the room I BOOKED or not...and I asked about A MILLION questions...thanks for your patience ladies!

Re: Bridal Meltdown moments .....
ok well i swear im not a freak or anything but I SWEAR this is realso last night, im freaking out in my dream about the wedding when FH's grandfather pops up and pats me on the hand and says 'dont worry about the wedding, if i was still alive i wouldve given you much much more' then he smiled and i woke up
i told a friend today that i think it wasnt just a dream- that it was him visiting me- cause my grandmother spoke to me in a dream a few years ago too
so i think that having the dead communicate with you cause youre freaking out qualifies as a meltdown moment no????
[ really ladies, im totally sane just a believer in the paranormal---dont get freaked out]
