Bridal Reflections - 1st Fitting

Hi, I'm about to go to my first fitting at Bridal Reflections in Carle Place. Does anyone have any pointers for me? What should I be bringing aside from my undergarments and shoes? Should I buy my crinoline from them? Anybody have any good or bad experiences with them?

Good Luck!

Bridal Reflections - 1st Fitting

i bought my dress from carle place and had the fittings there too. they were ok. the only thing is that i told them i wanted more fluff to my gown so they said that they were going to put these fans in the gown to make it more fluffy and the acrinaline was going to be a extra fluffy one anyway on my last fitting which i had the day before the wedding ( i heard to many stories of people losing weight the last week and the dress being to big on. so i wanted it the last day i told the woman it wasn't fluffy enough. so i put another acrinaline on 2 all together and it was perfect they convinced me that i shouldn't have the two and that now they would have to fix the whole bottom of the gown etc.. so i said fine and now when i look at my pictures i love the gown but i wish i would have went with what i wanted and not what they said. i know that nobody can really tell but i can!!!! other than that just be on their case to make sure that everything with the gown and the veil is perfect!!! good luck

Let me know how your brother makes out.

If the decor is your style, then I think it might be a worthwhile choice.

Bridal Reflections - 1st Fitting

OK, I think I asked this question once before but didn't get a solid answer. How far before the wedding should I go for my first fitting?? I plan to lose a little more weight but don't want to wait too long. I'm getting married the first week in June. Should I start my fittings in March or April or May (HELP!!!)??

Bring your appetite! The cocktail hour is very lavish and during the reception, you have a choice of entrees, or you can sample all of them! Never heard of a place that will offer guests seconds of their entree! Just expect to pay for this. I negoitated a better rate by having a daytime wedding and he knocked off an additional $3/person...which with 185 guests is a savings of $555!

Bridal Reflections - 1st Fitting

Teresa,

The bridal salon will let you know when to come in for your first fitting. I was told by my salon that I should expect to hear from them at the beginning of April (my wedding is 1st weekend in June). But, I got a card last week telling me to come in this Saturday. I called to confirm the appointment & they said that because they have so many June brides, they're starting early. My advice is call your bridal salon & ask.

Don't worry about losing extra weight, you usually go for at least 3 fittings. They can always take the dress in a little more.
