Re: Bridal Reflections nightmare ..(sorry very Long)
I had too many bad experiences there! My best friends wedding was last summer and the y ordered us the wrong dress and then tryed to tell us that we didnt remeber what they looked like. Needless to say .. they were wrong... they failed to tell us that when they placed the dress order thay found out it was dicontinued and just ordered us the new style WITHOUT letting us know. The were extremely rude and overpriced!!!!! They ended up having to alter our necklines to look like the dress WE did order. ..WHen I called to make an appt. for my wedding gown... the first questioned they asked was how much was I looking to spend.
Since when is that important.. if I found a dress that I love, I dont care what it cost..
VEry rude and snobby people!

Re: Bridal Reflections nightmare ..(sorry very Long)
I used the Carle Place store for my gown, and the Massapequa store for my BM's and my Mom's gown. The ONLY problem I had was w/ my seamstress. She was just a little bit pushy and abrupt. But whatever, I told her MY gown, MY (well, my Mom's) Checkbook MY way lady !!
People have good and bad experiences everywhere b/c everyone is looking for something different in Customer Service.
I personally HATED Adrianne's - I thought the staff was incompetent and rude. But that was me . -

Re: Bridal Reflections nightmare ..(sorry very Long)
I had a bad experience with them as a bridesmaid and because of this I urge people I know not to use them.I had to return to the store 4 times to have my dress altered and fight with the seamstress to get it right. She was downright nasty to me and my mother!
Also while I was there 2 of the 4 times there was a young 17 year old girl who loved a sample dress for her prom. The dress was a size 12 and the girl was a size 0. They promised her if she bought the dress that they could alter it for her. So of course since she loved the dress she bought it. Well, I jsut happened to be there when she came back to have it altered and the seamstress told her it was impossible. Not only that, but the manager wasnt going to give her, her money back. I ended up leaving before it was resolved but how horrible is that?

Re: Bridal Reflections nightmare ..(sorry very Long)
wow, you should not have been treated like that.... Doesn't stuff like that make you wish all bridal stores would read these posts. They really should make this experience as pleasent for you as possible. If you don't mind me asking, which bridal reflections was it? This weekend I got fitted for a dress at the one in massapequa. My FSIL wanted her bm to all wear tea length dresses, but her request is that when being hemed at the bottom, the bottom of the dresses match up in a straight line for pics. She didn't want the bottoms of the dresses to be zig zagged. They were so pushy and kept telling her that they wouldn't look good that way. She saw pics of them straight across, and pics where it fell so that they were uneven at the bottom and her way looked much better. Why are they giving the brides such a hard time.

It was the Carle Place location. You know I have given this some thought now, and I think that everyone at BR think that they are “the best” and this attitude comes across as snobby, rude, pushy and down right unpleasant. They think because they are the “experts” that they have a right to tell you what to do, they don’t realize every bride has a vision of their day, its their job to help her achieve it, not to tell her what her vision should be!

I also had a bad experience with the Carle Place location, and Christine - the owner in particular. She told me an Eve of Milady dress (that she previously told me on the phone she had in the store) was not out yet, after I got there, having made the appointment to see that particular dress (and 3 others, all of which she said on the phone she had, I only saw 2 of 4). When I got upset about it, she 'reminded' me how her store is the # 1 Bridal Salon on LI. I called EoM the Monday following that conversation, and they assured me the dress was available, told me what salon had it to try on, and then asked which salon gave me such misinformation.

I had a bad experience with the above mentioned person as well. I was quoted a price by Massapequa BR for an EoM dress that I was considering and the price was written on my card. I then went to their Carle Place location to try more dresses on (they are a bigger shop) and I ended up still wanting my original EoM. I told them the price I was given in Massapequa and they refused to honor it, telling me I couldn't have been given that price. I told them to call the other store because it was on my card and I was then told that it wasn't written down (A LIE - I SAW HER WRITE IT!). Anyway, neither store ended up honoring the price (which wasn't really a deal anyway - it was a difference of about $80!!!) so I ordered it somewhere else and save about $1000!!!!

This was the first place that I went and I was totally turned off. I never went back.
Ditto for me. My mom wrote them a note commenting on their poor attitude - which I'm sure will have no affect on their disposition - - - but it made Mom feel good!

Sunrise813...FYI I had major issues with the massapequa store and vented about it on here. THEY CALLED ME AND YELLED AT ME ABOUT IT! like 'how dare I speak of them that way' so on an so forth. Anyway, the next time I go in...they have my post PRINTED out and stapled to the card! EVERYONE in the store knew about itand they wouldn't even look me int he eye. I just want you to be aware that they do read the posts here and they may call you on it. Good luck!

Re: Bridal Reflections nightmare ..(sorry very Long)
Well, if they do read these posts then they're really stupid, you would think they would learn their lessons and change their customer service. I had a terrible experience at the Mass. location, meanwhile-here I was going for the first time with my mom to shop for a wedding dress...You know what the lady who helped us told me...'Well, we obviously dont have any dresses here that are of your taste' and get this-she only showed me a total of 8 dresses...oh, that's because their ridiculous policy is 'to bring dresses to you...' as if they know me..or my taste!!!Welcome New Vendors
