I would like to know who usually pays for bridal shower and rehearsal dinner

Bridal shower - whoever decides to host it.

Rehearsal dinner - the bride and groom (unless someone offers) since they are asking their wedding party to "rehearse". But if you do not have a rehearsal, then you don't need to feed them.

The bridal shower is whoever is hosting; in this case it was my future mother in law, actually. But could be your mom, MOH, sisters, or split between bridesmaids.

Rehearsal Dinner - it's customary for the grooms parent(s) to host, however its common now for the bride and groom to host. Which is actually what we are doing. We are hosting this as a thank you to all involved in our wedding including immediate family and grandparents.

Your relatives or friends (other than your immediate family)are usually the ones who pay for the bridal shower and for the rehearsal dinner the bride and groom pay.
