Bridal Shower at the FatFish

Normally I wouldn't review a party that was thrown for me, but I had such a great time and great experience I wanted to share.

My bridal shower was this past Saturday. I had the BEST time, my family and friends did an AMAZING job, and a bunch of people I didn't expect to see showed up, especially my friend who's in the navy and stationed outside of Seattle!

Anyway, the shower was at the FatFish (or Fat Fish ... I think it's one word ...) in Bay Shore. We sat outside on the dock, which was covered by a tent. It was a little warm, but there was a nice breeze off the water. The food was FANTASTIC! I've only been to the bar part at night, so I wasn't expecting anything crazy, but it was some the best food I've had!

There was a buffet with:

Marinated Grilled Chicken Breast with Pinot Grigio & Fresh Tomato Basil Sauce

Beef Brochettes With Roasted Garlic & Fresh Thyme Merlot Sauce

Salmon Filet with Sautéed Spinach in a White Wine & Fresh-Herb Sauce

Penne Pasta with Tomato Basil Sauce

Rosemary-Roasted Potatoes and grilled veggies

The salmon was SO fresh ... I normally don't like salmon because it tastes fishy to me, but this was incredible! Then TONS of desserts on top of the cake my mom bought. It was strawberry shortcake from King Kullen, but let me tell you - it was amazing!

Thanks! I've never eaten there before, and actually had never seen the restaurant part until Saturday. It was really great!

Not yet ... I didn't take any, but hopefully my friends send some soon! I'll post some picutures then.

It really was. Some of my girlfriends want to go back just for dinner!

It's great on Sunday afternoons too. They usually have a decent band and really great frozen drinks which is definitely important!

Thanks for sharing. I too love that place. I have never been there for an event but dinner on a Sat night has never treated me wrong. Glad to hear that you had a nice time at your shower.

My Fh's boss just took us there for dinner!!! I don't even like seafood and I was great!!
