i'm quickly learning that being in a wedding costs a lot of $$$. That being the case, the bride should recognize that and to then ask for $600+ to be spent on her shower is crazy. (No offense.) I think you should sit down and tell her how happy you are to be in her party and that you love doing things for her but this is just too much. go with the tea party. that sounds really nice.

She should not be dictating her shower. She should be gracious and happy that her friends think enough of her to host a shower in her honor. She has no vote as to the who what where when stuff. Have it at your folks house as planned and have a great time.

SO we had the shower this past weekend, and let me tell you it was a freakin diszaster.. out of the 25 people that were invited and RSVP'd YES! onlyh 14 showed up .. THEN.. the AC in the placehadnt been turned on yet so it was sweltering in there, and WE had to move all the tables around because it was the restaurant area and they didnt know what they were doing....THEN there was no music so we wound up sitting around with our thumbs up our arse until the bridezilla came. the place gave us one waitress ( and she was also working the tables in the other part of the restaurant too) good thing only 14 people showed up she would have been crazy....THEN when it came time for the cake that was suppose to be included in the package, they said they didnt have one made YET but could give us Carrot cake instead. I was liek are you freakin kidding me!!! at that point i said lets get the hell out of here and they proceeded to tell us that we will still have to pay for all 25 people even though they didnt show up... and the little beoch wasnt even grateful, she was like ohh thaanks...and that was it... !!! I knew from the begining it should have been done at my parents house, but noooooo one wanted to listen to me... F*ers... Im just glad its over

Have it at your house. She has nerve telling you where to have it. She should appreciate whatever she gets. I would tell her that you ARE having it at the house, dont leave it a suprise because Bridezilla might walk in the door the day of the shower.
If she doesnt want it at the house, then I guess there wont be a shower for her, unless she is willing to pay.
