Re: Brides getting married at a church....

great question! i was so stressed out about not having enough time for pics in between the ceremony and the reception, but it seems the same as all you girls!

ceremony will be at 3:30 (maybe a litlle earlier), no receiving line, stop for pics, then off to the hall for CH at 7:30 (which i would like to attend).

What time is your ceremony and reception?

Is it possible to have a morning ceremony and an afternoon reception? or is that cutting it too close?

My cousin did this...11:30 mass and then 1:00 CH..No recieving line..Church in Franklin Square....Reception at Floral Terrace.

Is your brother getting married? I thought I saw him at a Bridal Show

My brother IS getting married
He's trying to figure things out....so I'm trying to help him a bit.

Re: Brides getting married at a church....

I have a long time b/w church and reception:
church 1pm
CH 7pm

We are having a full mass and we will have a receiving line then will go off to the Planting Fields for pics. By 6:30 we'll be at the hall for family pics. All pics will be taken by the start of the CH so no interuptions during the remainder of the evening. Thankfully most guests are family from out of town and will go back to hotel or both parents house.

ceremony in church at 3pm, cocktail hour at 7pm..we're doing receiving line, and after ceremony we're going to old westbury gardens for pics, from 4:30pm, to 6pm, then pics at jericho terrace..how's that for a lot of time in between for guests?

Same thing here 3pm church 7pm coctail hr. I figure my guest will go home or back to there Hotel after the church and get dressed for the reception.

Re: Brides getting married at a church....

Ceremony at 10 or 10:30...still not sure- church doesn't care which-it's all about the pics! We are taking pics at the hotel at 8:00-9/9:30 depending and then some pics between the church and CH.

The Church is in Roslyn and reception at Fox Hollow in Woodbury with a 12:30 CH. We'll take pics at the church after then some at FH and then go to our CH. We may step out of the reception for a few pics too-maybe just FH and I-which I'd rather do that than miss CH!!

The timing is the hardest to work out which is why FH and I are seeing each other before the ceremony! Saves on limo money too!!

Good luck to you and your brother!

My church ceremony is at 3pm and the cocktail hour starts at 6pm. The church is about 20-25 minutes from the hall. I want all the pictures done before the CH.
