Re: Calling April Brides & Married Girls for advice

OH YEAH....

I lost 5 pounds in the last week or so, I was stressed, I couldn't eat, I fought with DH. I yelled at my dad. I even BOUGHT A NEW DRESS with 2 weeks to go b/c I had a breakdown & decided I hated my dress I was a psycho.

Everything that is happening is TOTALLY normal. You have dreamed of this day since you were a little girl and the thought of it not being perfect is enough to make you snap. But you cannot control the world. Not even on your wedding day. Something might go wrong, and you know what? ITS OK. You'll still be beautiful, you'll still get to marry the man of your dreams & you'll still have a great time. Even if your limo is late or your BM passes out or whatever.

Sit back & enjoy the ride, I wish I had.

Re: Calling April Brides & Married Girls for advice

Time is flying by, and there is not enough of it. I think everyone is way more emotional the few weeks before their wedding. I mean you have every emotion going through you in these upcoming days..happy, sad, nervous, loved, stressed, tired, excited..etc. It's hard to stay relaxed and sane! But it will all be worth it when the day comes and it is the best day of your life!

In 2 weeks I having a civil ceremony and even THAT and all with are stressing me out!@ I think it's normal to go a big crazy before the big day! Good luck! The important thing is the marriage not the wedding.

Re: Calling April Brides & Married Girls for advice

I felt exactly the way you do- all the way to a minor meltdown right before the rehearsal.

I woke up the day of the wedding TOTALLY cool, calm and collected.

Try to get some rest (nearly impossible, I know) and take deep breaths and remind yourself that no matter the outcome- you will be married and that's all that matters.

HTH! Hang in there!

Re: Calling April Brides & Married Girls for advice

I was a mess up until I left for Mackinac Island. Try to take atleast 1hr every day to relax and destress. I know it feels like you have a million things to do, but write it down. I did that and btwn myself, my mom, step-mom, sister and 2 best friends we got everything done in MORE then enough time. Try to relax. It's VERY normal to feel overwhelmed. FM me if I can help
