There is a carvel on Wantagh Ave. in Levittown. And they have a picture of a carvel wedding cake that they made hanging up with a thank you from the bride and groom.

I am not sure how but by the looks of google, sweet cookie puss has been hijacked into porn and heavy metal -- I swear that I am not making this up!ETA: I only can find a bitmap image and it is not letting me post.

Cold stone Creamery makes ice cream cakes too. They will also bring a Cold Stone Ice Cream bar to your location for $2600 or something crazy like that!

Oh my goodness! I can't believe this. There are others that want a carvel cake like my FI. My FI said at the beginning of the wedding planning that all he wanted was a carvel cake....It has taken on a life of it's own since then though...now he wants 3 fudgy the whale cakes piled on top of each other, vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate....He's an odd creature (but oddly enough it does sound really yummy)!

Does your reception hall allow you to bring outside cakes in? I know my friend wanted a Dunkin Hines (sp?) cake for her wedding, but Villa Lombardi's said no outside food. Lots of other places have the same rule. You may want to double check, if you haven't already.
But a groom's cake is a great idea!!!

Also if you have an ice cream cake, I'd make sure that there are other dessert options for desserts for your lactose-intolerant guests!
