Good luck!

Do the vendors GET a table? I realize that this may be a stupid questions, but I hadn't thought of it before...though it makes sense that they need a place to sit. (I only have 3)

I'd imagine that you should put one there - more for you than for them - your room will look nicer.

Just my opinion.

God, I also wasn't planning a vendor table. I actually don't have room for one! I would say Jamelle, if you want all your table to look the same, go for it. If not, Put something a little simpler there.

My wedding is also at the Sandcastle and I love the place too. They have always worked with me on everything and threw in a lot of extras!!! The price was reasonable even though I booked it almost 2 years in advance.

I thought the prices were reasonable and I've heard they do the best coctail hour around!!

Center Pieces - Opinion Please

I am having a vendor table since I am feeding them they will need a place to sit. The catering hall had it listed on the floor plan, I would have never thought of it either. It is in the corner in the back of the room not in the mix with the rest of the tables. But my problem is solved, I called the florist to see what other brides were doing, and he said not to worry, he would throw in an extra center piece for the vendors table. Thanks for your help

vendor table?

Do you mean you are going to have a table for the dj/band/photog to sit down and eat at? hmm...i wasn't doing that. My future FIL was a pro photog and he said he never ate at the recpetions- there was too much going on and he didn't want to miss any of the shots.

I guess if you have a band, then there is a small table for them to have their breaks....but it may not even be in the same room.

I wouldn't waste the $$ to have a centerpiece on their table.

That's great that EMWC is throwing in a centerpiece. But if they weren't, I wouldn't have wasted the money (especially with the cost of your centerpieces, whooo-hooooo!!). Unless the table was going to be set up exactly as your guest tables with a number assigned to it and everything, I just wouldn't bother. If it's in an obscure area in the room, no one will take notice of it. What are we down to, 15 days?? Holy mackarel!!

The staff at the Macy's bridal in Manhasset were also rude. My cousin got her wedding gown there and we got our bridesmaid's dresses.

I wouldn't waste the $$ to have a centerpiece on their table.

vendor table?

Thanks Guys..that was my whole issue the $$ involved with the extra center pieces!! I was leaning towards not having one! with my wedding right up on top of me (15 days) money is tight, and what I might have thought to do before, is impossible at this point!! With one on the vendors table I guess I can ensure that my Mom gets to take on home!!

vendor table?

in my opinion it is not the centerpiece that is the issue...after all give it to another guest or one that could't make it....but this nonsense about feeding the vendors is highway robbery....the caterer recommends vendors to choose from...then he makes a commision on them....and then he compels you to feed them....well its not the $50 or $100 centerpiece that you could give away...it is the price of a place setting to feed these guys...after all do we eat for free...especially while we work....and we pay them for the amount of time we hire them for.....interesting isn't it.....10 at a table for $65,75,85,95 a person gives the caterer another $650-950 plus tax...not a bad bonus for the caterer......after all they could walk right into the kitchen to eat for free.....they all do.....why pay for them while they are charging us for their time to perform as a photogarpher...(take pictures)...and a band or d.j. should be playing or take them off the clock.....what a racket!!!!!good luck

We decided on Nick's in the town of Montauk. It is a great spot if you are having a small (we are having about 110)wedding. We rented the second floor which is mostly all windows looking out onto the ocean.Claire & Nick are so nice to do business with and the food is great.

There is an entrance to the beach just outside the restaurant. We are having our ceremony there.

I agree with you totally. Not one of the people I hired for my wedding even mentioned being fed and I would have automatically disqualified them if they did. What nerve.

The food at Nick's is very good!
