Centerpieces for rectangle tables
I'm having rectangular tables at my engagement party, and am borrowing sets of 3 different heighted cylinders that i'm filling with water and floating candles, and would also like to use smaller votive candles in the centerpieces as well all placed on top of a 12 inch mirror. However, I just realized that on rectangular shaped tables this might not be the best option. Does anyone have any ideas on how to use these items and create a great centerpiece for a longer shaped table?

Re: Centerpieces for rectangle tables
I LOVE the way this centerpiece idea looks. My friend had it for her wedding. An idea would to do 2 centerpieces for each table or even 3 if the tables are too long. You can still do this, but using just one might get lost on the long table.

Someone posted this pic a few weeks ago. Saved it because I'm thinking of doing candles too. Its bowls rather than cylinders but hopefully it gives you an idea.

Re: Centerpieces for rectangle tables
that's gorgeous!! i love that!! i love how the candles give the room such a great look. the only thing is I'm trying to be a bit less formal looking since this is just the engagement party. That's definitely an awesome idea for the wedding, but I dont want to overdo it at the engagement party and then have to upstage myself at the wedding. The 3 cyllinders are being given to me by a friend so I'd prefer to use them since it saves me a lot of money..I just can't figure out how to arrange them differently on a rectangle table.

Just spread out the vases and put candles in between them. that is what I am doing at my reception.

Re: Centerpieces for rectangle tables
I'd forget the mirrors and spread out the 3 cylinders and put candles around and in between. You could use multiple smaller mirrors, but 1 12 inch would be too big and not go with the table. Rectagular tables need centerpieces that go the length of the middle with a center that's more pronounced.Welcome New Vendors
