Ceremony- not church
I am looking for somewhere to have our ceremony besides a church. Some place on the north shore in Suffolk. Although I was raised Catholic, I don't feel right about getting married in a Catholic church since I never step foot in one unless there's awedding/funeral going on. Any ideas?
I guess it doesn't matter what precautions you take, someone's still going to get the wrong impression and slam you to some degree. Here I thought I was being cautious and polite (and sure, I wagged my finger a bit, but it has been a little nuts here), and I'm taken to task by patty for taking those precautions.

Do you have a hall for your reception?

Maybe Westbury Gardens allows that. I know you can go there for pictures. Im not sure if Westbury is Suffolk??? Or how about one of the Northshore beaches, if it is not in the height of summer (when there will be sunbathers, etc).

How about a beautiful Park with a pavillion. What town do you live in.

Westbury is Nassau. There is a chapel at C.W. Post College that they rent out. You could try this, it's not too far.

You might want to try Sunken Meadow Park..that is on the north shore of Suffolk. Are you looking for somewhere inside or out?
LOL - Thanks. Just want to have fun here with everyone. I think us brides are stressed or overwhelmed enough, don't you think? I know I am.
As far as how many to get you can put several at each table if you are presenting them in frames or in menu holders. Another way to do it that is nice as well is to have them inserted into the flap of a folded napkin and lay them on top of the plate at each place setting. In this case you would need one per person.
