Re: Cheap Custom Aisle Runners?

I have not yet checked the prices. Is it the runner thats so expensive, or is it when you want it custom made?

runner is like $60 or $75! I am adding a lot of custome work to it, so that is the part that is expensive! it depends what you want on it! i wanted our first names and date as well as scroll work to match programs!

My suggestion...make it yourself. That is what I'm doing.

How are you doing it? Buying the stencils and painting it? I've thought about doing this myself too

Believe it or not...my FMIL happened to have a cloth aisle runner in their old apt...Landlord was a limo driver. Anyway, I'm starting on it this weekend. I've got confirmation from the hall that both inside & outside aisle is approx 45'. I've been working on the design and plan on painting soon. A few bride's have done their own and they come out beautiful!!! I'll be sure to post pics when it's complete. I'm so excited to get started on it!

Ok...I promised I would post pics of our DIY Aisle Runner... Here it is...

When I receive our proofs I'll be sure to add a pic of the entire runner. I hope they got a copy....

Thanks! This was a project BOTH DH & I worked on together... It made such a hit that Father Tom even talked about it in the ceremony.

Re: Cheap Custom Aisle Runners?

I had mine custom made by Linda Laughery .... I paid $119 plus $9 shipping. It took about 2 weeks to get in hand and it was quite good.

She put a verse from the bible as well as our monogram in it.

eta Ours was 75 feet long.

Mine is sitting in a box all folded up. Does anyone have ideas for what one could do with it?

Here comes my rarely seen sentimental side-I would save it-if you have children, they could add their names/date to it and use it for their wedding 25 years or so from now. That's what I hope happens with mine.
