Funny how all of a sudden they are in a rush. Hold your ground. They probably found another house they want and are waiting to sell this one to make an offer. I bet if you stand your ground, you will save the extra 3,000.

Well I got some news. At this point they accepted another offer who was willing to pay a little more than us and is willing to rush. So I told the realtor that when things fall through next week because they're not happy with the engineer's report, than maybe the homeowner will rethink our offer. He wanted us to match the accepted offer, but we're not willing to do it.

We were a little bummed at first, but now we're ok. There were too many games going on with this house and we didn't want to play them. First they wanted to rush, then they didn't, then they held our offer, etc., etc. So we're going out on our own this weekend to look at open houses and we're probably going to start working with another realtor. I just think that our guy wasn't experienced enough to push our offer through and it will be better for us to work with someone new. Which was another hard decision because we really liked this guy and we were very comfortable with him. But we have to do what's best for us.

So everyone can uncross their fingers.

Thank you everyone for wishing us luck and showing concern. That really means a lot to me. I'll keep you girls updated when something else comes along.

I am so sorry the deal fell through - I know how frustrating it can be.

And if you need to find another realtor do it - we had a realtor for 4 months who we had to follow up with, send ideas to - then we found a realtor who knew what she was doing and we found a house in three days - so hang in there!
