Re: Cocktail Hour Flowers

How about just strewing rose petals acros the tables...inexpensive and doesn't take up space

or just leave it out altogether

I am not doing CP's for my cocktail hr... My RH provides flowers and ice sculptures for the cocktail hr so I didn't even look for that.. You really don't have to do cp's if you dont want too.. Have you considers a candle cp?

Re: Cocktail Hour Flowers

my florist actually told me that it wasnt such a great idea - i couldnt believe it especially since she would be making $$ - people are only in there for an hour, and most people move them because the tables are just not big enough - i would save the money to splurge on something else

Re: Cocktail Hour Flowers

For just an hour, if its going to cost you more money, I say forget it!

My RH puts a round vase with a floating flower at each table, so check if they offer anything at your RH first..

If you really want to do something, what about something like that or a single bud vase? Or maybe even some votive candles?!

Re: Cocktail Hour Flowers

I am having a floating flower in a small circular vase By the way....I am also getting married at DeSeversky Center. I think the rooms for cocktail hour have so much character that all you need are floating flowers anyway. Nothing big or expensive. My florist acutally 'threw' those in

Re: Cocktail Hour Flowers

Most I have seen rose petals (fake or real) scattered with votives. Cheap... easy simple. Don't waste money or time on that. Its incosequential.

Re: Cocktail Hour Flowers

I think we are just doing votives, and maybe some rose petals also.
Not wasting money on something that people will only see for an hour.
During CH, they pay more attention to food and drinks than decor.

Re: Cocktail Hour Flowers

we didnt do anything b/c the hall provided this-however maybe do a few bud vases around with a single flower in it, or just petals on the tables-dont go crazy with this b/c alot of people wont sit and if they do they move the CPs out of the way

Re: Cocktail Hour Flowers

I bought cute little sandcastle votives to put on each table. I will probably put starfish or shells around the edges also. I didn't want to pay a ton for flowers but wanted something on the tables.

Re: Cocktail Hour Flowers

we put a colorful candle on each table and that's it.

i just went to a wedding and we had like 4-5 ppl around this tiny table and honestly it was barely enough room for all our plates and drinks....

people are concentrating and eating so keep it simple!
