Re: Come in past brides who had rainy wedding days
Sorry! Try not to worry to much - since you really can't control it. The weather was overcast on my wedding day and while I was disappointed I got over it quick. My shower was another thing. My parents had it at their house on the water. They had a huge tent set up (thank god they had walls). we yhad 100 people and all of a sudden the sky turned black. There was a HUGE storm and the tent almost blew away! I was so upset - then 2 hours later the weather cleared up, the tent people secured the tent and the party moved back outside.
ETA: I will keep my fingers crossed for good weather - I have been hearing mixed reports so I think it will be fine.

It downpoured on my sisters wedding day. She decided to not let it ruin her day and actually she got some cute pictures of her hubby with an umbrella. Enjoy your day no matter what.

Good thought. Does your hall have a nice place indoors to take photos? If not you might want to ask them ahead of time what you should do.

Re: Come in past brides who had rainy wedding days
hi - well we were suppose to be married outside only to have the day of the wedding raining - everything had to be moved around at the last minuite and we were married in the hall - none of the guests seemed to notice and the limo drivers and the bridesmaids and the attendants at the hall held lots of umbrellas as we wandered around and we got a bit wet posing for pictures outside but it all worked out fine-my photographer basically took over with the whole rearranging process and everything was fine. just make sure he/she has a plan

Re: Come in past brides who had rainy wedding days
It rained on my wedding day, so we couldn't have our ceremony outside but, honestly, it didn't matter at all. Our wedding was perfect. I wouldn't let anything (or anyone) ruin your day!!

Re: Come in past brides who had rainy wedding days
I dunno, but where I come from, it is actually GOOD luck to have it rain on your wedding day. I am getting married in the winter so from time to time I get a little anxious about a snowstorm - not for me but for the safety of my guests who will be driving.Welcome New Vendors
