I'm debating whether or not to register for a slow cooker..I've never seen my parents use one, and I'm afraid I'll probably never use it. However, every1 says its great...
Do you have one? If so do you use it? Is it necessary?
I have the slow cooker and I love it. I use it all the time. I prepare my dinner the night before and then when I wake up, I just turn the Crock Pot on the low setting. Being a teacher and then going to graduate school right after, this saves me time when I come home because dinner is ready to be served =)
I think you should register for it..

I LOVE MINE!! We make stew, pot roast, chicken cacciatore like things, sauce, whole chickens, pea soup... I've even baked pumpkin bread in it! AND they are perfect for holiday get togethers. We use them to keep mashed potatoes, veggies, stuffing warm. It helps not having to time everything so close together.
For all of these things, I have been invited over only for stew. RUDE. Whatever. My crockpot's bigger than your crockpot.

I have one for about a year. It's still in the box and I have never used it. After reading all of your replies, I just might take it out this week and try that allrecipes site! That being said, I think you should register for one!
