I didn't go, but I heard from a friend about a wedding they attended that from start of the ceremony to the end of the reception was a total of one and a half hours....they had a platter full of cheese (no crackers) at the CH and some soda and water. Boom box off to the side......

I know people around the US do things differently then us but come on now...that is too tacky for me...its like come and give us gifts, pick up a square of cheese and leave. Thank you

I went to a wedding a couple of years ago, and the couple was 19 going on 20. In fact, so many people at the wedding were engaged at 19, and 20, so I felt a little pressured. Then the bride fell on the dance floor and sprained her knee, and it was just like a cocktail hour, no sit down dinner, and the food was awful! I couldn't believe we spent so much money on the air fare to go to an event that didn't even have a decent meal!
