Day before the wedding

I have guests coming into town for our wedding - in 2 weeks (ack!) I will be with most of them all day Thursday and, obviously all day Saturday. My girlfriends are looking to schedule activites the day before the wedding....and all I can think I want to do is be quiet and rest!

Would I be terribly rude of me if I bailed for a few hours?

Hello all ! I'll be getting married this August in Hampton Bays, on the south fork (where my fiance is from)... problem is, I live in Nassau. Anyone know of any good resources out east? Need a hairstylest, makeup person, limos, bakery (for cake), photog, etc. I don't know anyone else out there!

Day before the wedding

THE DAY BEFORE YOUR WEDDING SHOULD BE WHAT YOU WANT TO DO.. AND IF THAT IS BEING ALONE THEN THE PEOPLE SHOULD UNDERSTAND. THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING I ONLY WANTED TO SPEND WITH MY MOTHER AND SISTER AFTER DINNER I ONLY WANTED TO BE WITH MY PARENTS AND THEN WE WATCHED FATHER OF THE BRIDE BUT THIS WAS SOMETHING THAT I WANTED... GOOD LUCK AND DON'T BE AFRAID TO SPEAK UP

He called the church to arrange a meeting with the priest to discuss getting married there. The priest informed my fiance that because he does not live in Suffolk and attend mass regularly there, other individuals who live in Suffolk and go to the chruch regularly would be given preference. In the end, because we want to get married on a Sat in June, 2002, the priest said that we would not be able to get married there.

My fiance and I are finishing graduate school and plan to move to Suffolk once we get married. We are very disappointed that we can't get married in this church. Does anyone have similar expereinces or have any advice on what, if anything, we can do?? Any and all comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Day before the wedding

Hey Karen,

I say do what you have to do. Everyone should understand. You need at least a little down time to collect yourself before your big day :) WOW, it is almost here too, times going VERY fast!

Day before the wedding

I know! : )

I like the idea of spending the night w/my dad. Unfortunately, Paul is having a dinner w/the guys the night before and my dad is on the guest list. Maybe i could hang with him later.....watch a few movies.....thanks for the support, Cathy & Judy. I'm walking on eggshells lately....

It is really soon and I am slowly starting to fall apart. Luckily, Paul is starting to pick up the pieces so all will even out. : )
