My mother is young too, she got her dress at Eva's in Sayville, its a Jovani red carpet. I believe they have another store in either nassau or the city. They have a lot of young MOB dresses.

My mom's hot...she's 45 y/o, and I'm her eldest (25 y/o) and I have two younger brothers...one that's 19, and then our 'baby' who's 10...so my mom's pretty young, and the MOB dresses we've seen are very (no offense to anyone) old lady looking...or very young looking...

Does anyone know where we can look (she'll probably have her dress made by my dress maker) online for younger looking MOB dresses?

same here, my mom is 46 doesnt look like it at all, no one believes she's a mom and i'm also trying to get her a great dress. i'm thinking we'll check bloomingdales or nordstroms and just get her a gown or something.

WHy dont you try nordstroms - they have a lot of nice dresses that would be close to what you are looking for

Actually if you are going to have the dress made - look at saks.com, nordstrom.com and niemanmarcus.com for ideas

i'm going to have the same problem with my mom, for my bros wedding she looked at bridesmaid dresses and got an idea from that and had a dress made for her

Look on the Jovani website. They have a lot of beautiful dresses that would be great for a younger mom.

My mom is 50, but she doesn't look it at all and she always says that most MOB dresses are too 'old' looking. She found a few dresses that she really like at metamorphosis in St. James. They are more sleek and hip, more hollywood looking.

Look at Nicole Miller's line of bridesmaid dresses. My mom is also very young looking and she ended up wearing one (style bj0119) in a wine color. She looked amazing!

You can look online, or there are a couple of showrooms in the city.

My mom and FMIL are both in their mid 50's and said the same thing about MOB dresses. My FMIL emailed me saying 'damn, am I really that old?' and I know my mom being only 5'1' is going to be drowning in a typical MOB dress!!

For my brother's wedding she actually wore a knee length cream colored dress with spaghetti straps and a bolero jacket. It looked great on her.

Anyone else having an issue with mothers wanting to cover their arms?? I need to find a youthful MOB dress that carries a jacket!!
