We're Old Key West vacation club members too!

My family is such disney fanatics...we actually look forward to going every other year so much. My sister is branching out this year and staying at the Beach Club through Disney Vacation Club...as for me I'll stick with Old Key West...I love it.

Re: Disney hotels

We just came back from Disney, but instead of our 'home base' of OKW, we stayed at the Boardwalk (my brother's request!) which was a lot of fun, but I missed the quiet relaxation of Old Key West! Next month, though, I'm going to actual Key West!!! but I don't plan on 'quiet' there!!

Re: Disney hotels

FI and I went there in Sept. and stayed at the Polynesian. It was amazing. I loved the resort feel of it and having both the mk monorail and epcot monorail right there were great. I loved seeing the fireworks and hearing the night show of the mk from the beach at the Polynesian.

Re: Disney hotels

In my family, we are ALL Disney Fanatics!! I have stayed at Carribean Beach Resort, and it was really nice, but I wouldnt stay there on my honeymoon. It is a beautiful hotel, but you should go all out and get a higher calss one...My FH and I are going to be going for 4 days and then to Aruba following Disney, and I think we are going to stay at the Grand Floridian....also, we stayed at teh Boardwalk and it was SO NICE!!1 Lots to do at night ause its like a real boardwalk from the 50's! SO FUN! But I would stay at one of the higher end hotels....Boardwalk, BeachCLub, or Grand Floridian. I never stayed at the Polynesian, but I have heard wonderful things about it. GOOD LUCK!!

My mother has timeshare in Disney and we stay at Old Key West...it is really nice because you can get one bedroom rooms that have a kitchen and a jacuzzi tub...I'm not sure if people who do not have Disney timeshare can stay there, but I would check it out. Also the Grand Floridian is really nice and not too many kids which should be nice for a honeymoon.

We're Old Key West vacation club members too!

I stayed at Old Key West in November and I absolutely loved it-the room was awesome and I liked taking the boat to downtown disney at night!

Re: Disney hotels

The Polynesian is super romantic. I loved standing on the beach watching the fireworks over Magic Kingdom. The music is piped to the beach so you can hear the same thing that they hear at MK. The resort is right on the monorail and also has a boat to MK. It is in a great location and it really looks like the South Seas. Happy planning!

Re: Disney hotels

Definitely the Grand Floridian, I was there two years ago. It's still out of all the resorts down there, the best, it's luxurious, and beautiful. You'll love it!!
