Re: DIY Wedding Craft Page!
Our theme is white & gold, so of course, I bought white and gold slippers, put them in white organza bags, and tied them with a purple ribbon and our monogram.

Our MonogramOur Invites & CD favors
Our I Do Letters
The wish bowl...the centerpiece for the wishbowl table (was mirrored bottom with pink rose petals around the border & pink candles)
The Wishbowl poem matched our ketubah...
Our ketubah (I didn't make it, but I made the wishbowl poem to match this)
We also made a basket for yarmulkahs and one for my student's favors, but I can't find a pic right now.

Re: DIY Wedding Craft Page!
Thanks for letting me show these off again...They were cards for the BMs thanking them for accepting the role. I handed them out at our eparty. Indside each read, 'Stand By Me' and the reason I asked them to be a BM. I have 12 lovely ladies, so I wanted them to feel special - not like a #.

Re: DIY Wedding Craft Page!
Ok for some strange reason I'm in the mood to do a lot of DIY things for my wedding, when normally I am so not creative. I am having a beach themed wedding, so any ideas for invitations or programs or anything like that would be appreciated! Also, did anyone make any cards asking their bridesmaids to be in the wedding? I want to go to Michael's but I wasn't sure what I was looking for exactly! Thanks!

Re: DIY Wedding Craft Page!
So, here they are, my table number votives. I wanted something different than regular table numbers, so I figured, 'why not match the votive placecards?'You can never have enough candlelight!
The vases are 6'x8' tall, and I'm deciding if I should use tea lights or pillar candles....

I saw a wedding recently where they had pretty white shells and they wrote the names of the people on them for placecards. The tables were named after lighthouses. It was lovely.
The other wedding had these as their cp's. They made it themselves and had a florist do wreaths.

Re: DIY Wedding Craft Page!
Okay I have a few...(1) My Ceremony Programs...roughly following the layered program template...
(2) Tissue packs - made with stationery purchased at staples, I printed the lyrics to 'our song', and our Names and wedding date, and folded according to the MS instructions.
(3) Votive placecards
These were the instructions I used (I think they were originally posted by AJsMommy):
Placecard Candles Directions
You will need: Plain glass votive holders; light -medium weight transparent vellum; access to a Laser printer, a good scissors; double sided tape; tealights
Step One: Measure your votive holders to determine the approximate height and length around. Using these measurements, make a template of the shape of your label. Note that even the most plain votive holders will have a slight curvature, so expect the template to be in an arch shape.
Step Two: Using the approximate measurements, set up your MS Word (or any other graphic program that is useful for printing text) document to space your guests names and table numbers the right distance. In my case, I got 3 to a page with room to spare.
Step Three: Print out your document. Use the template you made in step one to cut the right shape out of the larger sheets of vellum. Set the labels aside.
Step Four: (get a friend to help if at all possible) Set up a big workstation with all your votives, labels, double sided tape and scissors. Wrap one label around the votive and trim accordingly. When the label is lined up correctly, it will lay relatively flat. Apply the double sided tape and put aside. Having all of the candles in front of you will allow you to keep a consistent appearance of the candles and give you a preview of what they will look like all lined up at the wedding.
Tips: Have candles lit no more than 30 minutes before your guests come to pick them up to ensure they are all still burning when the last guest leaves your reception.
