Your invitations do not have to match your Bridal party.
It's what you prefer.

My girls are wearing silver and my invites will be silver or have silver in them.(I didn't get them yet)
But this is what I prefer. You have to do what makes you happy and of course FH.

i was having issues about this too. my girls are in deep purple but i didn't want that to be my invites. but with my OCD, i really wanted things to flow well.

my compromise was having the antique gold (similar to Christine's).

in my lowly opinion, I feel that invitiations should be formal (if it is a formal affair) and that they don't have to match the 'color' scheme, but complement in some way.

i like the idea of setting it apart a bit.... I'm going to use the gold on all my 'paper' details and leave the purple for the dress and flowers.

I am thinking maybe I can convince him of gold, since he seems to like metallic. I guess I'll have to buy MORE paper now (I've been buying different papers to try out the colors together)

Thanks ladies...I guess I never mentioned that I have mild OCD (I am completely serious too, as told by a shrink not my friends LOL) so I OBSESS over things until they are right. drives me nuts! (no pun intended)

I agree with Leese

They don't have to match, but compliment them in some way.

I like the blue, but I think a goldish color would not only compliment, but also adds a bit of class. Gold transcends time.

This is why I have like 4 theme colours! :) Navy, lite Blue, Sliver, and white...my Invites are silver and navy and my girls are in lite blue...and will be hold white flowers with a navy or white ribbon.... It will all flow...its complicated yet pretty I think :D you can match in other ways without being too matchy.

Umm I guess I am the same way because my invites match the dresses. And in a way I wish they didn't because I am rethinking the color scheme.

However I am stuck because FH would kill me if I ordered new invites!!!
