Re: Do you ever wish you stayed in contact with old friends from High School?

Most of my close friends are high school friends. I don't miss anyone else. Anyone I truly care about is still in my life and I'm grateful for that.

Most of my closest friends are from high school or actually grade school.

One of my BM is my oldest and dearest friend. We have been friends since we were babies (literally in diapers). Now 29 years later, we are still close (like sisters)

i used to be but now im ok with the losing touch.

i ran into my best friend from high school at a party last weekend and sad to say shes still the same

it was like a time warp- looked, talked, acted all the same as when she was 18

still lives at home and all

i think if we were still in touch i might not have become the person i am today

I think about this whenever I hear news (gossip) about people from H.S. Even though I grew up with these people, I think most of my maturing(I hate using that word) happened after HS so its hard to believe I would even LIKE the same people, let alone be friends with them.

I have two best friends from middle school that I love and were BMs but only b/c I grew with them through the years.

Etd to say, most people I see from HS usually dont recognize me anyway! lol

Re: Do you ever wish you stayed in contact with old friends from High School?

I miss my guy friends desperately. We stayed friends into college and I was beyond close with one guy in particular. He was my best friend in the whole world. I slept at his house, spent holidays with his family (I'm Jewish, he's Catholic) and even went away with all of the guys. The last Christmas we were friends and I was single at the time. He confessed to being in love with me, and our relationship was never the same. A few months later DH and I got back together and moved in together. My best friend pretty much stopped talking to me and so did the rest of the guys.
I could live without the guys if I had to, but I miss my best friend more than words can say. It's been over 4 years since then and I still think about him all of the time.

Something similar happened to me with my best friend and it got to the point where everyday I was dreaming about us, dreaming about us talking and all these crazy things. I was dreaming about it almost every day! It was plaguing my mind, SO I made contact- we talked and became friends again. The day I emailed my BF the dreams stopped. I even said 'this is going to sound weird, but I've been dreaming about you and our friendship' and I let the person contact me back.
My advice is to just contact him! You will feel some closure-it can't be worse!
