Do what YOU want! And I'd personally much rather regular candy than macaroons...

Why would that be un-'Classy'. Gimme a break. Her saying that to you shows she has no 'class'

Everyone loves edible favors whether they are jelly beans or chocolate etc. I dont think people receive a favor and place it in an 'unclassy category'. Ignore her and if she is invited she gets nothing

She's probably one of those people who measure class by how much money you spend. I bet she wants you to put the macaroons in little louis vuitton tincans too.

Re: Do you guys think this is not classy to give at a wedding??

Um, I don't think candies are tacky- who the hell thinks that??????? I just went to a wedding Saturday and they had candies as favors. I thought to myself 'Score!!!!!!!!' I like candy and I am sure many others do too. But, if you are doing wine bottles, I think that's enough too. Again, if you still want to give candy, do it!

Re: Do you guys think this is not classy to give at a wedding??

I think 'classy' is the wrong word! Macaroons are more elegant than candy, but candy is more fun. It's your choice!

Re: Do you guys think this is not classy to give at a wedding??

Is it your co-workers wedding? no it is not.it is your wedding. And you seem to think the candies are cute. Why wouldnt they be 'classy' if you had them packaged all nice? I think it would be fine and not at all unclassy. I say go for the candies!

Re: Do you guys think this is not classy to give at a wedding??

i gave wine bottles and had hershey's miniatures scattered on the tables. IMO, chocolate goes WAY better with wine; two of my favorite things are wine and chocolate!!

Interesting that macaroons have now become classier...

Unfortuately, no matter what you give out, there will be someone who will complain or have a problem with it. Just do what makes you happy and dont worry about what other people think
