Re: Do you have to stay in a hotel on your wedding night?
if I could do it again...I would have stayed at home...I did not like our hotel at all...the only reason we stayed there was b/c we were hosting a brunch there the next morning for the OOT guests

I would much rather stay at home the night of my wedding and save the extra $$$ for shopping on the honeymoon.

You can definitely do whatever you feel most comfortable with. We stayed at a hotel by the hall and we also had alot of close family and friends who stayed also so no one had to worry about driving. We also were able to see everyone the next morning and thank them again with a breakfast that we hosted.

I would love to go home, but we are going to stay at the hotel so we can have breakfast with our family and out of town guests the next morning. Trust me, if I could go home I would.

Re: Do you have to stay in a hotel on your wedding night?
We stayed at a hotel on our wedding night, but that was because we wanted to. This decision is completely up to you and FI. I don't think there is a tradition - it's more a matter of preference. I think there are good arguments for staying in a hotel and staying at home.Welcome New Vendors
