Not at all...guess since I haven't lived with my parents since sophomore year of college and since then have lived 500 miles away...they were dying waiting for this day to come!!!

I feel a little guilty about getting married. Though my wedding isn't until 2007, I think about what it is going to be like for my parents after the wedding. I'm the baby of the family and neither my sister nor I have ever been more than an hour and half away from my parents - even during undergrad and post-grad.

By the time I get married, my sister will have moved to Fl and after I'm married I plan on moving to TX with my DH.

I feel like my parents are going to be so alone up here. They are actually thinking of leaving NY and moving to Fl in a few years.

NOT SO MUCH GUILTY, BUT SAD. IT'S FUNNY B/C MY MOHER AND I HAVE GOTTEN A LOT CLOSER B/C OF THIS. SHE AND I LOOK FOR ANY SPARE MINUTE TO HANG OUT WITH EACH OTHER....EVEN THOUGH WE BOTH KNOW I'LL PROBABLY MOVE DOWN THE BLOCK!

I am so happy to get married and live with Michael, but I am sad to leave. My mom is widowed and my sister is away at college most of the year.....but she is happy for us and really excited.
We are so close, and I don't think that will change.

I didn't feel guilty, so much as really sad. I am super close with my family, and they kept asking if I was going to sleep home after FI and I unofficially moved in together, and my Dad jokingly said 'Don't leave me all alone with your mother!'

That was like a knife in my heart!

Especially since my brother is getting married on Saturday and me 6 months later !

I know they want me to be happy, but it's so sad to leave....bittersweet I guess....

When I first moved out of my mothers house I cried for DAYS b/c I felt so bad leaving my little brother!!!!! He was SO miserable when I was packing and when I first moved. I wanted to stay just so he wouldnt be sad!!! ( we are very close!!!)

with my mom's recent passing, i feel terrible about leaving my dad. everytime i bring something else over to my co op he asks 'why are you rushing it.' i don't think he realizes how close it really is that he'll be in the huge house by himself. i wish there was a way to make it easier but there just isn't.

I haven't lived at home since I left for college. So, I think my parents are more or less ready for me to 'marry'

My mom has been ready for a while!
