Douglaston Manor?

Hi, Has anyone been or are having their wedding at Douglaston Manor? Also, has anyone had any experiences or booked w/ The Pros (dj, photograhper and videographer services). Any feedback is welcomed.

Douglaston Manor?

I was at a wedding there last October. I thought the foyer was too busy (2 different weddings entering the front door plus the stairs to the bathrooms and bridal suites) there was alot of traffic. The music from the other party was loud enough to be heard at the wedding I was at, however I was at one of the tables closest to the other room. The dance floor was small and they had to cross it to serve the food. Also, the 1 small bar was right at the entrance to the room and whenever a line formed there, it was on the dance floor space. HOWEVER, I must say that when I went, I wasnt evaluating it as a wedding site for myself per se because we werent making plans yet. I did clearly know when I was planning my own wedding that I wanted to be the only party at site I chose. The bride & groom had a great time, the small dance floor didnt stop people from partying. The food was pretty good though and the room we were in was built around a huge oak tree. As is always the case in life, ask for opinions, you will get a variety. Take them in but follow your own gut feeling on your choices. Different things are important/unimportant to different people. Good luck

Just a comment on Bridal Reflections, they are a bit pricey and you may be able to find the same dress at another shop for a significantly cheaper price.

Other than that, I have heard better things about Bridal Reflections in Massapequa than the one in Carle Place. I haven't heard anything about the other store.
