I didn't want strapless when I was looking for my dress, either. I tried on a few because that was mostly what every place had and some looked really nice (to my surprise!), but I felt like I couldn't totally relax in it, I felt kind of self-conscious.

The dresses you guys posted are all so beautiful! I wish I saw more of those when I was looking. I love my Maggie dress (it's in my album and sooo much prettier in person). It's probably a little more modest than what you are looking for, but I love it! I feel like I really don't have to stress over what kind of undergarments to buy. I was really hoping to buy a regular bra, not a strapless one and now I can. Between that and the corset back I'm sure I will feel more comfortable and not have to keep fiddling with it all night.

I did not plan on wearing strapless. In fact, my one stipulation in finding a dress was that it was NOT strapless b/c I have no interest in hicking my dress up all day long so my boobs don't show. When I tried on dresses (a variety of necklines) I have to admit that strapless turned out to be what I liked, and they really suck you into these dresses (mine is a corset style) so that I KNOW it wont be going anywhere. Try one on! Maybe you'll like it. Bridal gowns are much more structured than BM dresses, so its more likely to stay put.

Just to let you know, the corset is fitted like a glove and the strapless gowns won't really fall on you. You'll be lucky if you can move it by pulling up!!!!

My question is- are those of you that are not looking at strapless finding much. When I walk into stores and tell them what I am looking for, they look at me like I have two heads. I am sure I am going to go with one of the dresses I already saw, but I didn't think it would be so slim.

I actually found more styles with straps when I looked around myself. Also, My dress was on the rack in a size 12 and I'm definitely not a 12. I didn't even try getting it on, but the woman helping me gave me a great bra and with the corset I was able to get it on and get an idea of how it will look. I'm pretty sure she never would have brought that gown to me if I hadn't seen it there myself. Also, being a January bride I was originally looking for sleeves, so my choices were even more limited.

my dress has cap sleeves, but they are removable. I am gonna wear them at the church, and for pics, but then at the RH i am taking them off and going strapless.

I knew I didn't want a strapless dress as I have a big chest and was afraid that I'd be constantly adjusting the dress during the ceremony and reception.

I ended up finding a halter style dress that I loved. However, I tried on a lot of strapless (since it's so popular, it was unavoidable) with the plan of putting some small cap sleeves or straps on. So I'd recommend trying on a large variety of dresses so you can see if they would look nice and alter it to fit your needs.
