Thanks for the advice Christen. I always ruled out a halter neck because I thought you needed to have a chest to pull that off.

I will continue trying on dresses.

I think sweetheart dresses are supposed to be more flattering on smaller women - myself included. Sorry you had such a bad experience but I'm sure you'll find the right dress. I think a lot of decoration, whether it be a pattern or beads up there also adds some umph.

i'm a 34 C (C because i'm thick not busty) but i have a strapless dress that does enhance b/c of the sewn in bra and elaborate beadwork and satin on the top - i dont look much larger but its just a little more umph that makes it more flattering - it also has an A line skirt.

its Mon Cheri 24200 in the best sellers category - i'm not home right now so i dont have access to my computer its saved on.

If only it were that easy for you DD girls to share with me!

Thank you for the feedback about the beading and the sweatheart neckline. That definitely makes a lot of sense.

I may take a break from shopping this week, but I'll be back at it after labor day.
