Engagement Party????

So me and my Fiance got engaged on November 26th 2015 and our wedding is November 4th 2016, we have not had the chance to have an engagement party yet, is it too late? Is it really worth it to have one? Should we do something simple? Any suggestions?

I don't think you're too late, but I just read somewhere that you aren't suppose to throw your own engagement party; someone is suppose to throw you one. Just sharing what I read, I am typically a rule breaker lol.

LOL thanks, I dont think we have anyone throwing ours so we would end up throwing our own. Just dont know if it is worth it. but thank you :)

I dont technically think its too late, however keep in mind in the next seven months your guests would then be possibly giving you an engagement party gift, shower gift, some will be going to a bachelor/ette party and then the wedding gift. So it may be a lot for people

If you think it's too late to do an e-party, I'd say invite close family and friends for an intimate dinner or brunch.

I got engaged 12/6/14 and had my engagement party 11/7/15! were getting married in 6/2016; I thought I was too late also but I did something simple and just did my bridal party and their sig others; did a cocktail party on a Saturday afternoon and everyone had a blast!
