I hate opening gifts in front of people because it is pretty hard to mask your disappointment...try 2 talk her out of it.

we did but only bacause the older people really wanted us to...we also had a small party. we didnt open envelopes tho

ive never seen or heard of this, maybe if you had a small one at the home-MAYBE...we didnt open anything up, we didnt receive any gifts, just cash but even if we did i wouldnt have opened up gifts at the party...an e-party yes ppl bring gifts but it should not be something that is obligated of ppl, by opening up gifts it might show that it was EXPECTED
