Entertainment rentals for wedding

Hi there,
I am getting married this summer. I am a bit tensed and excited about the wedding. I don’t know how to organize it properly. Initially, I planned on getting the services of wedding planners but due to the shortage of money, we changed that plan. My fiance told that we could organize it together. I am confused about what to include in the wedding. Can anyone share the pros and cons of organizing a wedding party on your own? I want to make it as entertaining and memorable as possible. I thought about adding karaoke rentals but haven’t seen it at anyone’s party yet. I would like to get your suggestions on this.
