Re: Eve of Milady brides
I am waiting until my dress comes in and will take a color swatch of my dress to get my veil made.My EOM dress is Diamond White but it is not a 'real' diamond white.
Other brides have had veils made that don't match their dress, I would just wait.
Barrons in the Tri County Flea Market can make you a custom veil within 2 months!

My dress is diamond white, so I'm going to have to wait until I get a swatch to get my veil.

Re: Eve of Milady brides
my dress was diamond white and my veil & tiara matched (also made by eve of milady).i'd just wait till your dress was in and try on different veils at your gown shop to figure out what you want, then go order it else where.

I am not an Eve bride but I ordered my veil from Barrons last week and they will have it for me on the 29th of THIS month. I had a swatch. They held it under their sample. Had I not done this and just ordered something else, I would have ordered the wrong thing.

Re: Eve of Milady brides
I'm wearing this designer too and I wanted to add that the WHITE color in organza or chiffon from this designer is ***NOT*** the same as the white in Eve's silk (since silk cannot ever be pure white due to the natural fibers.)So I guess what that means is that each gown is different. My silk with english net overlay gown can be worn with either a diamond white or white veil from Eve of Milady, but only because I chose white netting over white silk. I'd still never choose the veil unless it was made to match your gown at the salon... or with a swatch.
It's sooo confusing I know but I am very sensitive to color and think that the veil looks different in pictures than in person sometimes.
Which gown did the original poster choose???

Okay well my wedding is August 13th - do you think the chances of me getting an Eve of Milady dress is out of the question at this point?

My gown took 9.5 months to come in but they try to time it correctly so you have enough time for fittings before your wedding date.
They probably will still be able to get the gown for you before August if you order it but make sure you know up front if they are charging you a 'rush fee' or not. Which Eve of Milady gown are you close to picking, can I ask?

Re: Eve of Milady brides
Well not sure yet - but I originally was interested in Demetrios but agreed with my mom that I want something with more glitter to it and I do not want a white gown ( want something more champagne or gold colored). And I noticed they have a lot of veils to match. So that is what I am aiming for. But we'll have to see. I still love the Demetrios gown and can always make adjustments to it. They take a long time too. But I used to compete in competitions and would rush dresses 2-3 months before an event. I agree with what someone said on here about the fact that many stores will tell you that (unless the company truly is out of stock) just to get you to buy the gown.

I definitely understand what ya mean and some designers do that but since there is such an enormous amount of beading and handstitched embroidery on these gowns, I think they really do make them one at a time. All of the other Eve of Milady Brides on here seemed to have received their gowns about 6-9 months after ordering them. You could always buy a sample dress though to be faster. Demetrios gowns are sooo pretty too. I am sure whatever you choose will be great!
ETA: Since you are interested in gold gowns I'll post my dress from this designer from Kleinfeld - isn't the gold stunning? Mine is in silver though but I think there are many others that come in gold.
