I am not attacking your choices, purely answering the question that you posed. As I said, the lyrics of those songs (as most parent dance song choices) are a dedication to the bride and groom. If that is what your parents and you agree to - its a wonderful song and Im sure it will be a touching moment for you. The original poster asked 'what do you think?' No need to defend your choices but I think Im entitled to my own opinion.

That's the whole point -- everyone is entitled to their own opinions and everyone is going to have a different one. You see it as a dedication to the parent and some parents see it as a dedication to their children. You think it's odd every time you see that done, but that's the choice they made. Enough said on this topic, everyone agrees to disagree and everyone should respect each other's opinions. Enjoy your weekend!

Sorry it took me so long to respond! I am hunting for a dj now. I made an appointment with Wild Rose for the first weekend in June. They had the best price for what I am looking for so Marie has agreed to hold my date for me so that I an come in and see their work. I can't imagine that I will change my mind. I have heard such wonderful things about them and to be honest, Marie has been a joy to work with so far. I get irritated when I send emails and REQUEST email responses and still get phone calls at night. I work about ten or eleven hours every day and when I get home, I just want to relax with my fiance, I don't want to speak with wedding vendors. The little breaks I take during my day to hop online, that is when I want to deal with them. So far Marie at Wild Rose is the only vendor to respect that. Ahhh, planning this thing from Maryland is a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. So how are the final preparations going? I saw that you are working on your place cards. Are you having place card holders? I saw these ceramic rose place card holders at Micheals that you can paint any color. I can't decide if I want to bother or jsut stick with folded cards on a table. You are planning from Maryland? You poor thing. Its hard enough planning from here! :-) Well anything you need,you ask me ok!! I plan to be on this board long after my wedding. I enjoy it! We are using these beautiful Mikasa photo frame/place card holders. Two toned silver with roses. Very pretty. I decided on this as a favor becuase I can kill two birds with one stone, but also becuase they were so pretty I know that they won't end up as dust collectors but that people will want to use them. So that is where I am at. About 3 more weeks to go! :-) You are next year right? Well write me back ok. Denise
