Floral Terrace

I went to visit the Floral Terrace. I really liked the place but was quoted an inflated price by Dana. I was called back by Loula who asked me to come in and gave me a more reasonable price. Now I'm concerned if I should go with them. Does anyone have any experience with them that you could share? How is the food and service?

Good luck on your decision.

Floral Terrace

I went to a wedding there last year. I thought it was done very nicely. The decor was not my style but the food and service was good. Good Luck!!

me too!

I had a similar experience last week. We love the place and a co-worker of mine was married there and everyone that went to the wedding said it was fabulous. We also got a pretty high quote, only a few dollars less than Chateau Briand. When a manager called back to see how we were doing, I told him that the price was holding us back. He said if we went in we could work something out. I still may go back to see what he says. If anyone out there can share their experience, I would appreciate it!

My fiance and I checked out both places. The Floral Terrace quoted us a price of $90 for the full menu besides the lobster. The Chateau Briand quoted us a price of $110 for the same type menu. I thought the Chateau Briand was a little nervy especially since the Floral Terrace was so much prettier and there is only one wedding at a time. We didn't go with the Floral Terrace because we knew no one who has ever been there and we didn't know what to expect! I found this websit afterwards. Too bad! Good luck!

Offer to go when they have events planned - and ask to taste lots of stuff at once. You wouldn't buy a car without test driving it first to make sure it suits your needs....this is one of the biggest expenses you'll have in your newly married life. Be very critical....someone on this board suggested that you shouldn't have to taste because , if its a fine establishment - there should be no question as to the quality of the food. Just yesterday I was speaking with a very well educated professional who bought an Infinity without driving it first. Great car, right? He hated how it handled and sold it. Not all things are the same for all people....)

It is important that you be completely comfortable with your decision. If you're not - go elsewhere. There are plenty of other people out there who will cater to your needs. You shouldn't have to 'push' for anything...

WHat time of year was your quote for? I'm having my reception on New Year's Day and I was originally quoted a price of $110 and they changed it to $65 for the exact same menu.

Floral Terrace

I went to a wedding there two years ago. Both the food and service were great- some of the best I ever had. I highly recommend the place.

We chose March 17, 2001 which is actually St.Patty's day (not done purposefully!) and that is supposed to be off season also.

Good luck!

All I can say it GO FOR IT!! My wedding was there on the 26th of February...push them on the price and they will bend... With the affair that they threw for me there is no reason that any catering hall should be asking those ridiculous prices. Everyone is still talking about the wedding. From what I understand they even came around and gave seconds.. I was very pleased with everything; I will give you as much info as I have and any details that you need just ask

Question for Jamelle

Hello. I am glad to hear that your wedding went well. We are still in search of the perfect place! We are now focusing back on Floral Terrace. Our biggest complaint is the dancefloor being elevated. We are having a pretty big wedding and felt like we wouldn't be able to see anyone when people are dancing. I was also wondering how you found the food..... Thanks for your help!

I would like to have the John Denver/Placido Domingo song "Perhaps Love" as the song to which I will walk down the aisle. Does anyone know a duet or a singer who might perform this song at my wedding ceremony?

Question for Jamelle

I thought that the elevated dance floor made it easier for people sitting at the tables to be able to see everyone on the dance floor. I did not personally eat, but I have been told over and over again that the food was great and that they even came around and gave seconds, and thirds to some of my greedy friends. My assumption is that people would not have taken seconds or thirds for that matter if the food was not tasty. Hope that this helps
