Flower Field

Anyone have any info on Flowerfield? Been there? Heard anything? Fair price for what you get?

Hi. I met with Terri from Glamour at your door for a trial. She was great. She does travel and she has girls to do hair as well. My friend used her for hair/makeup for her wedding and she was awesome. I am only using Terri for makeup. Her price range for makeup was around $30 for the trial and I think $50ish for the big day. I am not sure what her hair prices are. Give her a buzz she is an absolute doll. Good Luck

My girlfriend is getting married there. It's beautiful, they just re-finished their floors and I heard the whole experience is wonderful with them. What a gorgeous place!

hi everyone... i'm looking into makeup artists too.. but i have a problem... my skin is so sensitive to everything and i'm afraid to get it done professionally because i may have an allergic reaction. how is this handled?? can you hire someone to come and use your own makeup? or is that just a big waste? ack!!! anyone else have this problem?

IT'S BEAUTUFL. THE WEDDINGS ARE LOVELY. THE FOOD IS GOOD. AND EVERYONE SEEMS TO HAVE A GREAT TIME. I THINK THE PRICES ARE FAIR. CHECK WITH THEM ON THE NUMBER OF GUESTS. I BELIEVE THEY HAVE A MINIMUM REQUIREMENT.

Just curious as to why you'd want all three from one source.

Flower Field

I am getting married in February at Flowerfield. The food is wonderful, the owners and staff are nothing but helpful. The reception room is extremely elegant, the cocktail hour room make you feel like you are in a rainforest. It is a little pricy, but well well worth it.

Flower Field

My fiance and I checked into that place...it's always been my dream place since I went to a wedding there about 6 years ago...they've since redone the whole place and it's gorgeous.....just very pricey. We're getting married at Land's End in Sayville (on the bay next to the Sayville ferry). It's the same food (caterers)and just been totally redone also, but more fitting with our budget. You should try it as an alternative if Flowerfield is too expensive....

I've been to several sites in Long Island and Queens and I have to tell you it's a toss up b/w The Coral House and The Douglaston Manor. The Coral House has very good food, we went for a taste test and fell in love. We also walked the grounds and they were pretty clean and well taken care of. As for the rooms we were a bit iffy on them because we are not having that many guest and the rooms they offered were small. Although we may not meet the required 100 even if we have 90 I feel the room they suggested will not comfortably fit all of our guest. The banquet manager Neil was very pleasant, cooperative and patient w/ us. Your in good hands I checked them out w/ the BBB and they have an excellent report. The best of Good Luck! Let us know how everything turned out.

They tried to order a dress that was two sizes too large for me (I know the dresses run small but give me a break I'm not that stupid). I had to insist on them ordering the size I wanted. Luckily I was right, otherwise the alterations necessary would have been like making a new dress. I think they did that to try to get more money by making it a plus size dress.I ended up having my dress altered elsewhere because they wanted to do the first fitting the week of the wedding.
