Re: FMIL Issues

hire a police officer off duty to guard your events and have the ex escorted away. lol....

that's just about as WRONG as it gets. tell her off....if she's petty, she'll probably blow off your wedding, but it looks like she's tried that as much as possible already. good luck....i don't really know what else to say other than, get ex's # and tell her that you do not want her to come even if she is friends with FH's mom. she's not YOUR friend and obviously not FH's either.

Re: FMIL Issues

That is disgusting. If worse comes to worse you will have to tell the ex she is not welcome.

Re: FMIL Issues

I have the same problem with my FMIL (she's crazy!) These people don't take no for an answer...I would tell your MOH not to invite the ex and that she's not welcome. I would tell your FH to deal with his mom and explain to her why she isn't welcome.

Also, I have had in the past a 'sit down' with FMIL cause she is such a nut and nothing changed from it...so, I don't recommended that!

Good luck ! I am totally thinking of you! (And know what it's like from the moment you got the ring...craziness!)

Re: FMIL Issues

Here's some new information! She came to town this weekend and invited us over to her brother's house where the whole family would be for a cookout. As we neared the house, the ex's truck was parked outside in the driveway. My FH wouldn't even slow down.

Re: FMIL Issues

OMG Your FH needs to talk to his mom and tell her that if she decides to bring his ex, then neither of them are welcome at the wedding! This wedding is for the 2 of you and to celebrate the joining of your lives together, and neither of you should feel uncomfortable on your day!!!!! This lady needs to really either get a nice smack or wake up and be happy for her son and realize that he is happy with you (or both!). I'm sorry that she is doing this to you, and so close to the wedding!!!!!
