Re: FMIL Wants to wear Off-White
It's annoying.but no one will confuse her with you...
I was in a bridal party where we all wore off-white- it looked really nice.
I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: FMIL Wants to wear Off-White
the more you let it get to you, the worse the situation will be. It happens alot, and I really don't see how it can take away from you, the bride. If anything, she will look silly.

I told her that its kinda close to white..and she said 'oh please, its not like I am going to be standing next to you the whole night'
this is just one of the many things that makes me want to scream about her!!!!!![]()

Her remark wasn't the best, but ignore her and focus on the meaning of the day!

Re: FMIL Wants to wear Off-White
i think i would be upset if my fmil wanted to wear something sim to me .. Now if it was MY MOM i would not care . CAUSE it is my mom it is more understandableBut what does bother me is when i go to a wedding and see a GUEST in white .. that gets to me and the last few weddings i have been to i have seen that lol (maybe i can be taking this ettiquette thing to out of hand who knows but that really bothers me )lol

Re: FMIL Wants to wear Off-White
i guess i'm the odd man out...my mother is wearing an ivory gown with a burgundy bodice and fmil is wearing a gown that's ivoryish, probably closer to taupe.
everyone's eyes are on the bride, so don't worry!

Re: FMIL Wants to wear Off-White
That's very gutsy of her. When my mom and I first went shopping I told her flat out that any shade of white was out of the question. You should have FH say something.

Re: FMIL Wants to wear Off-White
I just went to a wedding were the bride of course had white on and her mother in law had off white on. It really didnt look bad at all the picutres they didnt stand next to each other and everyone was fine about it. I think the whole color thing is fading out becuase my mother and fmil both wanted to wear black but now only fmil is.

Re: FMIL Wants to wear Off-White
I don't think it will take the attention off of the bride, but I still wouldn't want FMIL, or my mother, in any shade of white.
