It was really important for us not to see each other before the ceremony. we have a pretty small BP so we're hoping we can get all our pics in during the CH. We've resolved ourselves to the fact that we are going to miss the whole CH, but we want to make a big entrance at the reception anyway.

Same here - I just want that first time he sees me to be when I'm walking down the aisle. I think it's just a bigger impact than me just walking into a room where he sees me for the first time. We're having a early wedding, so we're doing all our 'romantic' shots alone AFTER the wedding at the beach. The cool thing about that is I plan on getting in the water with FH in our clothes (just our feet not like swimming ) but it won't matter if my dress gets wet or dirty or anything because the wedding's over.

Same here. We are not seeing each other before the ceremony. In order not to miss our entire CH, our photographer suggested taking photos of FH with his side of the family and best man before the ceremony. Take photos of me getting ready and then make the 'whole' family together photos after the ceremony.

Funny, I had the same type of poll a few months ago. We decided that we will see each other before the ceremony. We don't want to try and squeeze all photos into CH, bedides we have to see each other in order to sign the ketubah.

the rabbi had dh sign in his spot, then once i came to the hall, i signed in my spot

I was against this at first but now I am okay with it and we will be seeing each other before the ceremony!

We thought about seeing each other before the ceremony but in the end decided that we really wanted that special moment of seeing eachother for the first time from across the aisle. It's a personal choice you have to make for yourself. I've been in a number of weddings and they have never lacked for pictures when they took them during CH.

We also had a really tough decision when it came to this...or should I say that I had a tough decision. WE will be seeing each other beforehand. Having nice pictures is very important to us, and we , also, wanted to make sure we were there for our cocktail hour. So we opted to see each other before. I would have loved to not see him until the ceremony, but timewise, it will work better for us. I also wan t the BP to enjoy and have fun too.After ALL this time spent planning, we want to be able to be at the CH, and enjoy. The photographer, will still take pictures when we see each other for the first time, and make it 'special' as he know this is important for us. Goo dluck with your decision..I know it is a difficult one!

I was originally shocked when BM mentioned this, but i am totally ok with it. I am staying at the inn at fox hollow the night before and will make a grand entrance in the inn for FH to see me coming down stairs. I dont want to miss CH

We extended the CH to 2 hours - we will take pics for no longer than 1 hour and enjoy the rest

Thank you for all your responses. We spoke with our photographer and we are not going to see eachother before the ceremony. We are going to take pictures with bridal party, and family before hand, then we will just take pictures of us during the CH.

I did not see DH before the ceremony. We took pictures during the cocktail hour.
