Re: Friday Night weddings?
HEY! We are the same date. DO NOT WORRY!! Every other wedding I have been to has been Friday night. Our church starts at 5 and reception probably 7pm so we can take pics and join too but my site will allow guests to come early since we have the site to ourselves the whole night. Don't stress I never thought Friday weddings were bad, like I said, most weddings I have attended and taken part in were on Friday.

Re: Friday Night weddings?
I would prefer a friday to a sunday. Some of my guests will have to leave work early though because the church starts at 4pm.

Re: Friday Night weddings?
I'm having a Friday night wedding. A few people have asked about it not being on a Saturday, but honestly these people are just idiots and we ignore them. They're clearly not paying for the wedding, so why should we care what they say? As for the Friday vs. Sunday night weddings...it's totally a matter of personal choice. Your guests will have to make arrangements either way: by taking Friday off (or part of it) or by doing the same for Monday. We're partiers so Sunday was out for us, but it's a valid day and those who mater will be there regardless...even if it's a Tuesday!BTW - Thursday weddings are becoming very popular now, so are holiday Mondays.

Please don't worry about this. Like is was said, people just like to complain! Who wants people like that celebrating one of the biggest days of your life with you? Not me!We are having a Sunday day wedding, if people don't like it then they don't have to come. I want happy, nice people at my wedding lol.

Re: Friday Night weddings?
Go with what you want. I had a Sunday wedding because I liked the fact that everyone could come to the church and no one felt tired from working all day and they had all day to prepare to come to the wedding. Some people did leave early, but the ones who mattered most, stayed.I personally don't like Friday night weddings because I usually miss the ceremony and have to race home from work (which until I was laid off was in NYC) and get ready.
But you can't please everyone and the important people will be there for the majority of the time.

I like Friday night weddings...because you dont have to rush back to work the next day. You have the whole weekend to spend with out of town guests.

We booked our wedding for a Friday night, and while most of the people we spoke with think this is fine, a few thought we were crazy. We had a choice between Friday night and Sunday, and I thought they were both great. I just really wanted an evening wedding and thought that people could enjoy themselves without thinking about work the next day. Opinions?
I didn't read all the posts, just some - but if I'm repeating - accept my apologies!
Whoever has a problem coming to a wedding on a Friday Night or Sunday Night should pay for the entire wedding and then make the comment! LOL
